Well, actually the yard.
I'm so proud of DSO. He turned lemons into lemonade with this one.
A few months back, we both bid on and won saddles. At the same time. Because we didn't communicate with each other. Anyhow. We wound up with 2 saddles. Except the saddle he got was NOT the saddle he ordered! And we couldn't get them to take it back, no way no how no sir.
Anyhow. We wound up with this saddle that we couldn't use. Sitting here. For months now, we've tried to sell it for about what we paid for it, with shipping. No luck. A few nibbles, and that was it.
Worse, we had this problem looming over our head. The much beloved Barracuda was sitting in Shoreline, unable to be driven up (looks like it's just a bad battery, but still...) to Everett.
Something good came into play at the very last moment. DSO found a lady who put the cart before the horse (just like us) and got a horse before she could really afford a saddle. The solution? She got the saddle for her Quarter Horse. She and her husband trailered the Barracuda from Shoreline to Everett...and it looks like it might just be a friendship in the making too.
So now the 'Cuda's in our yard, till we can afford a new battery. Then, once it's rolling along, we get the seats into a reasonable shape (or replace them temporarily with something we can drive around in) and start getting the rest of the interior redone. Oh, she'd be a beaut if we can just get her cleaned up!
