Sailing the seas of life (and a few movie reviews)

Ooh Shiny!
Ooooooh yeah.

Saw the opening Seattle performance of Rite of Venus tonight. Sparkly! Shiny! Wunderbar!

Actually, it was very well done, and there was a lot of heart in the performance...if you're in the Seattle area, you have 5 more performances...go see!

And in no particular order:

-If /I/ were being surrounded by seductively creepy zombie bellydancers chanting 'Return to Me', I'd be running like heck!

-Mercury took the retrograde thing WAY too serious.

-If you are sitting in a theatre of any sort, and you feel a 'ping'...be prepared to have a life changing experience.

Alright, that last one? Well...they all happened, but this was BEFORE the performance had officially started. PK (hereafter known as Mr Sexypants) was sitting there, in tune with his Saturnly self. As I glanced around at the assembling cast...I had a moment. I know that moment. I started having them back at FoL last year...and then...frighteningly enough...I felt it. That 'ping'. Only for me...it's more like one of those deep, resonant sonar bloops.

Sort of like this:

BLOOP! Enlightenment in three, two, Ohshit.

Yeah. One of those moments.

For those of you who are curious, this is what my natal chart looks like.

Yep. You see that lonely little planet there, over there, by himself in Cancer? That's Saturn.

Saturn's at odds with just about everything ELSE in my chart...that's called a 'bucket' configuration, and the rest of my chart 'swings' on that planet.

Alright, that's one way of looking at it. But the fact of the matter is...Saturn has never been my friend. Sure, I want to BE Saturn, but I'm equally repelled. I mean...lookit the Master from the old Dr Who series....I mean. Repellent, arrogant, know it all...and sexy as hell. Um. Does that make any sense to anyone but me? Any way.

Not only that, but I am a MISERABLE student. In fact, I'm an expert at being a miserable student and having issues with authority. Hello Saturn.

So. Wanna tango?
