Do you? Really?
Puckies. My morning started by getting up early, getting out of the house early so I could reward myself with a latte...and ended with me going to work AFTER I co-discovered and reported a dead body.
So there. Nyah.
Seriously. I got out of the house early so I could go get a latte from the stand across from my place, and as I'm in line with this same guy I see every Thursday, we look out and see a forlorn looking figure huddled near the garbage bins next to the Mexican restaurant.
"He doesn't look so good," I observe.
"Maybe he's just sleeping," he countered.
"I think if he was asleep, he'd have a blanket. It's FREEZING," I shook my head.
"I think you're right. I'm gonna check on him," he offered.
"Um. Be careful. I see him around here a lot, and I think he does drugs or something," I cautioned.
"Right," he agreed...before he walked up and poked him.
The man was one of the usual homeless from my neighborhood, and he was deceased.
So after a brief conversation with the Everett police, I went on to work.
Sans latte.
So that was my morning. It can only go up from here.
