Movie Review: Dead Silence
You know, this would have been the SCARIEST horror-genre PC game ever.

Too bad it wasn't a game. It was a movie.

Not a bad movie, actually. But you can always tell what scares a horror writer. Look at Steven King. Well, with these guys (the writers/directors/creators of Saw I/II/III)...it's apparently being mutilated, being forced to do things you'd really rather not do (like eat your greens). Oh. And ventriloquist dummies. And Scary Old Ladies. And dirty old places that really should have been cleaned up years ago. And Clowns.

On the upside, I liked the actors. The female lead reminds me of a young Jamie Lee Curtis. The male lead reminds me of a young (SsssSSSSeskay) Carey Elwes (sort of makes up for the fat, frumpy Carey Elwes from Saw I).

On the downside, someone needs to call Jamie Lee and tell them they stole the theme music from Halloween. Oh, and to let the town of Darkness Falls know that the Tooth Fairy ran away to Raven Fair and started collecting tongues, not teeth. And I no longer like mushroom soup.

So, if you liked Darkness Falls, Stay Alive, The Fog (remake), or oh...even Child's Play, you'll like this one.

Four creepy old plucked eyeballs.
